Getting Started

How do I create a timeline?

Sign up or log in, then click "New Timeline" from your dashboard. Give it a name and start uploading photos. You can also try Picweave without an account using our demo mode.

Do I need an account to try Picweave?

No! You can try Picweave immediately using our demo mode. Your timeline is saved locally in your browser. Create an account later to save permanently and invite contributors.

Collaboration

How do I invite others to contribute photos?

From your timeline, click "Invite Contributors" to generate a unique invite link. Share this link with anyone who has photos to add. They can upload photos without creating an account — just enter their name and start uploading.

Can contributors see the full timeline?

Contributors can see all photos in the timeline, not just their own. This helps them see what's already been added and avoid duplicates.

Photos & Sorting

How does Picweave sort photos?

Picweave reads the EXIF data embedded in each photo to determine when it was taken. Photos are automatically sorted chronologically, regardless of who uploaded them or what device they came from.

What happens to photos without date/time data?

Photos without EXIF timestamp data will be placed at the end of the timeline. Screenshots and some edited photos may not have this data.

Sharing

How do I share the finished timeline?

Generate a share link from your timeline to create a read-only view that anyone can access. Perfect for sharing with family and friends. Share links can be revoked at any time.
