These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of picweave.us (the "Service"), operated by Centricle LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
Picweave is a collaborative photo timeline tool that merges photos from multiple people into a single chronological timeline using EXIF metadata. The Service allows you to upload photos, invite contributors, and create shared timelines for events and experiences.
The Service, including its design, code, and branding, is owned by Centricle LLC and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for its intended purpose. This license does not include the right to copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the Service.

"Your Content" means the photos, timeline metadata, and other data you upload to the Service. Your Content is private to your account by default. When you invite contributors, they can upload photos attributed to them within your timeline. When you share a timeline, recipients receive view-only access through a unique link that you control and can revoke at any time. As a timeline owner, Your Content includes photos contributed by guests, and you are responsible for managing all contributions within your timelines.
Guest contributors can upload photos to a timeline via an invite link without creating an account. By uploading photos through an invite link, guest contributors grant the timeline owner and Centricle LLC a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, display, and share those photos within the Service.
Guest contributors retain ownership of their original photos. The timeline owner controls all contributed photos and may delete or include them in shared timelines at their discretion.
If a guest contributor wants their photos removed, they should contact the timeline owner directly. If the timeline owner is unresponsive, the guest contributor may contact us to request removal. Contributed photos are also deleted if the timeline or the timeline owner's account is deleted.
You retain all ownership rights to Your Content, including your photos. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store, process, generate thumbnails for, and display Your Content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. We do not claim ownership of your photos or data, and we will not use them for purposes unrelated to operating the Service.
When contributing to a timeline via an invite link, contributors can see the timeline title, description, and date range. Contributors cannot see other contributors' photos, the full merged timeline, or the shared timeline view. Only the timeline owner and recipients of a share link can view the complete timeline.
We reserve the right to monitor the Service for violations of these Terms, take appropriate legal action against violators, restrict or disable access to the Service at our sole discretion, and remove content that is excessive in size or burdensome to our systems.
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time through the Service or by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately, and we may delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the Service (or any part of it) at any time without notice. We will not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuance of the Service.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Maryland, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.
If you have a dispute with us, you agree to first try to resolve it informally by contacting us. If we cannot resolve the dispute within 30 days, either party may pursue binding arbitration in the State of Maryland. You agree to resolve disputes on an individual basis and waive any right to participate in a class action.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS-IS" AND "AS-AVAILABLE" BASIS. WE MAKE NO WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, REGARDING THE SERVICE, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. EXIF metadata extraction is provided as a convenience and may not be accurate for all photo formats.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CENTRICLE LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PHOTOS OR DATA. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRIOR TO THE CLAIM OR ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100).
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Centricle LLC from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party, including any claims related to content you upload.
We maintain backups of data stored on the Service, but we are not responsible for data loss. You are responsible for maintaining your own backups of any photos and data that are important to you. Our data practices are described in our Privacy Policy.
